Rollercoaster

Roller-coaster is the best way I could tell the story for this week. Playing more hours and putting more volume in came with a price.  A losing week and just like 2025.  2026 starts off with a BANG.

On Sunday I started the week playing for a High Hand at Mohegan Sun.  I call it my home casino but unfortunately it lacks the action the poker room once gave,  however I am adjusting the times I play so the action could be a bit better.  This is one of those adjustments. Playing during the High Hand giveaway should bring the action level up a bit and having Sunday off and Mohegan Sun running a High Hand on a Sunday lined up perfectly.

I sat at a nitty table to start with and could identify almost every player at the table after about 30 Minutes and they all gave slim to no action so I switched tables after losing $150.  Flopped a set to a four liner caught straight.  My new table was lots of action however I added on for another $100 and won a few small pots but the hand of the session was a lucky one for me after a very bad read and lots of money in the pot clouted my judgement.  Variance bailed me out. Here's the story:  I observed a over aggressive player in the 3 seat who liked to raise his button I watched him raise his button 4 orbits in a row and on the 5th time around I looked down at 66 The raise was $7 made by another player and he on the button made it $30 (A Obvious squeeze play)  Everyone folds I make the call and the player next to me calls. We are now 3 to the flop of 5d 9h 9s The flop is checked by everyone the turn is a 7d I lead out for a semi buff of $75 into a $120 pot the player next to me pushes all in and has me covered. The Squeeze Play button raiser folds and I Tank trying to put him on a hand. He called a 3 bet preflop but checked the flop. Hmmmmmmmm... I'm going over every scenario, Its Not a Over pair,  Its not a 9  ...What does he have he must have a draw.  I call and he flips over A9 suited .....OH NOOOOO! I tell him "Oh crap I have a inside straight draw and 2 outs to a Full house"   And the River is a 6 I fill and win a very heathy pot which takes my loss away and puts me in profit land for the session. I end the long Session up $125 after being down almost $200.

Unfortunately this session was followed by losing $169 at Bally's on Thursday after being card dead and NOT Changing Tables. (Lesson Learned) Then Playing at Mohegan on Friday During the Day and on my first hand being coolerd with set over set and having the Villain hit a High Hand with Quad J's on the river I had 55 he had JJ the Board 5JTTJ. We were 1 card away from the bad beat jackpot but that didn't make the loss any better.   It was a loss of $400 in that session and I tilted bad very bad.

I came back later that night a played a much better session but still ran crappy only winning $56 in almost 3 hours.

And then there was Saturday after having a tough session on Thursday and Friday. Saturday sucked pretty badly.  I was up about $150 in about an hour and then got coolerd again and lost it all with KK vs AA I should of played the KK more passive but I got out of line and didn't use my head.  I ended up down $228 in the Saturday Session with a ending Bankroll for the week of $3,888.00 a bad week.  Need to focus on my game this week and stay in line. Back to Basics !!

See you next week and I hope to have a better outcome.. Talk Soon !
